3dB Wireless is a High Speed Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) located in the heart of Western North Carolina that serves several mountain counties. We currently have network presence in Buncombe, Haywood, Madison, & Yancey Counties. The towns and cities we currently serve are Asheville, Waynesville, Clyde, Lake Junaluska, Candler, Maggie Valley, Weaverville, Mars Hill, Marshall, Burnsville, Balsam, and Cruso. Our founders felt the need for a WISP (Wireless Internet Service Provider) in the areas served by our company to bring low latent quality high speed broadband internet to underserved homes and businesses around WNC. In early 2009 we started designing our network topology to best suit the needs of the communities in which we knew would benefit most from our services. After very careful network planning we started deploying equipment mid-2009. We have since deployed numerous sites around WNC to best service homes and businesses seeking quality connectivity with excellent latency and uptime where other providers come up short or do not exist.
