Ubiquiti Powerbridge M5x3 Datasheet Emerges
This is the first official x3 literature I have seen come out of the Ubiquiti Camp. Here we have the M5x3 which boasts GPS sync with a gig-e ether interface which appears to have a integrated gps antenna vs a dongle that is doomed to fail in harsh environments. which still has the wonky non integrated gps antenna that gets shredded the first time to much ice forms on the coax. The datasheet boasts 200mbps+ throuput using this ptp solution. This news excits me even more about the upcoming conference in Chicago in march.
Get The Datasheet in PDF here.

I do find it interesting that Mikrotik can do 200 megs with 2×2 and Ubiquiti needs 3×3 to do 200 megs.

802.3af is a big thing in my book. I do see that it says it has an external GPS antenna, so I’m not sure how this jives with your GPS statements above.

It doesnt… I had my facts wrong. I will fix that statement. I guess that was wishful thinking on my part. Thanks for the heads up.

I am curious to get my hands on the ubnt 3×3 stuff. I think if the ubnt 2×2 units had 1gbps eth interface we could see more than what we do. I do agree that nv2 is impressive. I have a few ubitiks in production and I am impressed with nv2 vs airmax. I do know that ubnt is snaping up talnted devs left and right so I think as more skill enters the camp we will see things improve.
